Apartment And Property Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2024
In a much important initiative to reduce the time it takes to register property, CM Bhagwant Mans government recently passed the Apartment and Property Regulation Amendment Bill 2024. With this amendment, one of the major amendments that the people are eager for is that they can now register their 500 yard plot without the need for any no objection certificate mode. This development has been received in favorable light by property sellers and buyers over the state as course are minimised providing an easier process to follow in share dealing. This has now been projected to lead to the increased construction activities in Punjab improving the region’s economy even further.
Massive Boost from E-Auction
The Aam People’s party government led by Mann is particularly focused on efforts to ensure that Punjab becomes an investor friendly region. In the latest move, the state has impressive policies that target foreign capital since such policies have worked splendidly in the state. A highly successful e-auction of properties generated an impressive ₹2,945 crore, signaling the strong confidence investors have in the future of Punjab.
This inflow of revenue will help the government in financing several developmental projects, further enhancing the state’s infrastructure and public services.
Developmental Plans for 11 Villages

Developmental plans for 11 villages have been formulated, with projects worth ₹12+ crore being launched to improve basic infrastructure and services in these areas.

Key Legislative Bills Passed for Better Governance
Punjab’s Legislative Assembly, under Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, has passed several important bills aimed at improving governance and public welfare. These include:
- Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2024: This change will alleviate the tax procedures under GST regulations in Punjab and foster the businesses while increasing the revenue collection to the state.
- Punjab Fire and Emergency Services Bill 2024: This bill suits the state by enhancing her capacity to deal with emergency situations through the establishment of more efficient fire service response time and disaster planning measures.
- Punjab Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Bill 2024: As the main purpose of this amendment is to strengthen local self-governance, in this case, the right and the funds available to the Panchayats shall increase enabling them to address the local problems and aspirations of the people in a more effective and democratic manner.
- Punjab Agriculture Produce Markets (Amendment) Bill 2024: By increasing the scope of this bill, the government seeks to enhance the efficiencies of the agricultural markets in which case the farmers are able to have wider markets to sell their farm produce and get better farming returns.
