Punjab News: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann revealed that, beginning November 27, citizens will receive 42 essential services at their doorsteps, eliminating the need for extensive travels to avail these facilities.
Medical tourism hub:
In an address during the centennial celebration of a government medical college, Mann highlighted the inauguration of various healthcare facilities and pledged to make the state a medical tourism hub.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to medical education, Mann assured ample funds for the purpose, announcing plans to equip all state hospitals with X-ray machines by January 26.
Priority to health and education:
Underlining the priority given to health and education, he detailed the establishment of numerous ‘aam aadmi clinics’ and the provision of free healthcare services to over 65 lakh patients. Additionally, the government aims to construct 16 new medical colleges, with one set to be inaugurated in Hoshiarpur soon.
