Punjab News: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Education Minister Manish Sisodia visited the holy city of Amritsar today, where he had the privilege of offering prayers at Sri Harmandir Sahib, the holiest shrine of Sikhism.
During his visit, Sisodia bowed before the sacred Guru Granth Sahib, seeking blessings at the revered site. He prayed for peace, harmony, and the continued spirit of brotherhood across the country. Expressing his deep reverence, Sisodia mentioned that he humbly offered prayers to Guru Sahib, asking for the strength to maintain peace and communal harmony in the nation. His visit to the Guru’s city underscored the importance of spiritual reflection and unity in the face of challenges.
- Call for National Unity and Peace
Speaking after his visit, Sisodia emphasized the need for unity and peaceful coexistence in the country. “In the sacred presence of Guru Sahib, I prayed for the well-being of our nation, for peace, and for the bond of brotherhood to remain strong among all communities,” Sisodia said. He highlighted the teachings of the Gurus, which advocate for love, compassion, and mutual respect, as guiding principles for overcoming divisions and fostering national unity.
A Personal Connection to Sikhism
Sisodia also spoke of his personal connection to the Sikh faith, noting that the values of equality, service, and devotion have always inspired him. “Visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib is always a deeply spiritual experience for me. The teachings of the Gurus provide not only personal solace but also a framework for creating a just and harmonious society,” he added.
Encouraging the Youth to Follow Sikh Ideals
In his concluding remarks, Sisodia encouraged the younger generation to draw inspiration from Sikhism’s rich heritage. He urged them to embrace the ideals of selfless service, truthfulness, and courage, which are deeply embedded in the Sikh tradition. “Our youth can play a crucial role in shaping a peaceful and prosperous India by following the path shown by the Gurus,” Sisodia stated.
His visit to Amritsar was a reminder of the enduring relevance of spiritual values in addressing contemporary social and national issues.
