Punjab News: Dr. Baljit Kaur, the Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development in Punjab, announced on Tuesday that the state government is launching special camps as part of the ‘Saade Bazurg Saada Maan’ campaign, aimed at improving the well-being of the elderly population. The campaign was initiated on October 3 from Faridkot district and has seen the successful organization of health camps at the district level in several locations, including Moga, Ludhiana, Muktsar Sahib, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Bathinda, Mansa, Sangrur, Malerkotla, Barnala, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, and Tarn Taran.
The campaign’s next phase includes organizing health camps in various districts, with the schedule as follows:
- Jalandhar on November 8
- Nawanshahr on November 10
- Hoshiarpur on November 13
- Kapurthala on November 15
- Mohali on November 17
- Patiala on November 20
- Ropar on November 22
- Fatehgarh Sahib on November 24
During these district-level health camps, elderly citizens will benefit from complimentary services, including comprehensive geriatric check-ups, ensuring their overall well-being.
