Punjab News: In a significant breakthrough, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has arrested three associates of Canada-based terrorist Lakhbir Landa. The arrests come as part of Punjab Police’s intensified crackdown on organized crime, adhering to a zero-tolerance policy towards organized crime and extortion calls.

The arrested individuals were reportedly tasked by foreign-based handlers to eliminate a rival gang member. They are also involved in numerous extortions and cross-border smuggling of weapons and drugs. The suspects are implicated in as many as 35 criminal cases. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against them under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and the police are actively investigating both their forward and backward linkages.
This operation underscores the Punjab Police’s commitment to eradicating organized crime and maintaining peace and harmony in the state, following directives from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The police vow to continue their relentless efforts to curb criminal activities and ensure the safety and security of the citizens.
