Punjab News: Major Drug Trafficking Syndicate Busted in Punjab: 10 Arrested in Joint Operation by ANTF and Central Agency

Punjab News: In a significant breakthrough, the Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF), in collaboration with a central agency, dismantled a major drug trafficking syndicate operating across Jalandhar, Amritsar, and Ludhiana. The joint operation, which involved coordinated raids, resulted in the arrest of ten individuals connected to the drug network and involved in money laundering through hawala channels in the region.

Seizures Include Heroin, Firearms, Drug Money, and Gold

During the operation, authorities seized 1 kg of heroin, 381 grams of charas, a Glock pistol, two additional firearms, 62 live cartridges, ₹48.7 lakh in drug money, 262 grams of gold, and other incriminating material. The ANTF’s success highlights their advanced investigative techniques, which relied on a combination of technical surveillance and human intelligence to target the syndicate.

The operation reflects the ANTF’s strategic efforts to dismantle complex criminal networks, as part of the government’s commitment to making Punjab drug-free under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann.
