Punjab News: Police Arrest Three Associates of International Terrorists in Punjab

Punjab News: In a significant development, three associates linked to terrorists Lakhbir Singh Landa and Harwinder Singh Rinda were apprehended by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police. The Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, announced the successful operation on Wednesday, revealing that Landa operates from Canada, while Rinda is based in Pakistan.

The arrests were accompanied by the recovery of two pistols and 10 cartridges from the possession of the detained individuals, marking a crucial breakthrough in counter-terrorism efforts. The arrested associates were identified as Jobanjit Singh (known as Joban), Bikramjit Singh (known as Bikka), and Kulwinder Singh (known as Kala).

Joban and Bikka were implicated in multiple cases related to attempted murder

Joban, a fugitive wanted for offenses under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the Arms Act, and the IT Act, had eluded authorities for an extended period. Furthermore, Joban and Bikka were implicated in multiple cases related to attempted murder under IPC Section 307.

Director General Yadav stated that preliminary investigations indicated that the accused were involved in criminal activities orchestrated by their foreign handlers. The arrests and the subsequent seizure of weapons highlight the collaborative efforts of law enforcement in tackling transnational terrorism networks operating in the region.
