Punjab News: A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror module was uncovered by police on Saturday after two people were taken into custody in Amritsar.
“State Special Operation Cell ( SSOC) Amritsar, in a joint operation with the Central agency busted the LeT module handled by Firdus Ahamd Bhat, an active member of LeT,” tweeted Gaurav Yadav, Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab.
Two hand grenades, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), a pistol with two magazines and twenty-four cartridges, a timer switch, eight detonators, and four batteries were found by the police.
According to sources here, a massive terror strike was planned by LeT terrorists ahead of the festival season.
