In an intense encounter, Amritpal Singh Amri, a 22-year-old gangster associated with the notorious criminal Happy Jatt, was shot dead by Amritsar rural police on Wednesday. The incident unfolded in the morning at Dharad village canal in Jandiala Guru, where Amri attempted to flee after opening fire on the police. The police retaliated, resulting in the gangster’s demise. Authorities recovered heroin and a pistol from the scene.
