The Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation (PRTC) has enhanced its services by introducing two new buses to facilitate affordable and comfortable travel for people heading to Delhi Airport. Chairman of PRTC, Ranjodh Singh Hadana, expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, acknowledging that the government has fulfilled a long-standing demand of the public.

- New Bus Services: PRTC has given the green signal to two new AC Volvo buses, catering to the Chandigarh to Abohar route. This initiative aims to provide cost-effective and joyful travel experiences for passengers.
- Government Support: Chairman Hadana thanked Chief Minister Mann for addressing the public demand and enhancing travel options. The new buses are expected to alleviate the financial burden on commuters while contributing to the department’s financial improvement.
- Anti-Theft Measures: PRTC has implemented stringent measures to prevent theft within the department. Special teams have been established to monitor and address any potential incidents of theft. Notably, recent checks have led to the identification of 16 drivers and 40 conductors involved in stealing diesel, amounting to Rs 42,409 and Rs 3,964, respectively.
- Improved Financial Condition: The introduction of affordable travel options not only benefits the public but also contributes to the financial well-being of the PRTC. The expansion of services aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing public transportation facilities.
