Punjab News: The open gambling and poor sewerage conditions in the Jalandhar area are clear evidence of the complete failure of the Congress-controlled city corporation and its candidate, Surinder Kaur. This was stated by Mohinder Bhagat, who urged voters to elect him instead.
Bhagat criticized the Congress party’s management of the city, pointing out that despite being in power, they have been unable to tackle key issues such as illegal betting and inadequate sewerage systems. He assured residents that if he is elected, he will personally ensure that their grievances are addressed promptly.
“Elect me, and I guarantee that your applications will be submitted by me and signed by me,” Bhagat stated confidently. He emphasized his commitment to bringing effective governance and solving the city’s persistent problems.
Residents Express Frustration
The sentiments of frustration among Jalandhar residents have been growing as they deal with the daily challenges posed by these issues. Many locals have reported that the open gambling and deteriorating sewerage systems are not only a nuisance but also a health hazard. These problems have remained unaddressed for far too long, they say.
Campaign Promises and Future Plans
Bhagat laid out his plans for the city, promising a crackdown on illegal activities and a comprehensive overhaul of the sewerage system. He stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in local governance.
“My administration will be focused on cleaning up the streets and the sewer systems, ensuring a healthier environment for all. We will implement strict regulations against gambling and betting, ensuring that our city remains safe and clean,” he promised.
Community Support and Mobilization
Bhagat has received significant support from the community, with many residents rallying behind him in the hope of seeing real change. Local leaders and activists have also thrown their weight behind his campaign, emphasizing the need for effective and honest leadership in Jalandhar.
