Punjab News: Punjab’s Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister, Dr Baljit Kaur, announced that the state government released Rs 46.89 crore under the Integrated Child Development Services Scheme. The funds are designated for the honorarium payment to Anganwadi workers and helpers during the period from November 2023 to January 2024. The scheme focuses on providing essential services, including supplementary nutrition, immunization, health check-ups, and education to children aged six months to six years, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
Allocation for Civic Services Digitization
In a bid to enhance online civic services, the Punjab government is set to launch the National Urban Digital Mission (NUDM). With an allocation of Rs 1,450 crore, the mission aims to achieve 100% digitization of municipal services, including property tax and water bill payments, within four years. The initiative is expected to streamline citizen access to services across cities, promoting efficient management of civic infrastructures through technology.
