Punjab News– In a rally termed ‘Badlaav Jansabha,’ Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called for a political shift in Haryana, urging voters to support the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming assembly elections. He emphasized that Haryana’s citizens, much like those in Delhi and Punjab, are eager for change and deserve better governance.
Addressing the gathering, CM Mann stated, “Haryana needs change, and it’s time to bring in Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP convener, has transformed politics across the nation. This time, we will change Haryana’s fate by bringing in Kejriwal.”
A Call for Change
The event saw the presence of AAP leaders including Rajya Sabha MP and national spokesperson Sanjay Singh and Rajya Sabha MP and national general secretary (organisation) Dr. Sandeep Pathak. During the joint press conference, Mann highlighted the discontent among Haryana’s citizens with the existing political parties. “Haryana’s people have given chances to all parties, but they have all betrayed the state. The public now wants change,” he asserted.
AAP’s Rising Influence
Mann underscored AAP’s rapid rise to national prominence, noting its status as a national party with governments in Delhi and Punjab, five legislators in Gujarat, two in Goa, and mayors in Chandigarh and Singrauli. “AAP is contesting all 90 assembly seats in Haryana with full strength,” he declared. He pointed out the geographical and cultural ties of Haryana with Delhi and Punjab, reinforcing the idea that AAP’s success in these regions could be replicated in Haryana.
The Road Ahead
Mann’s speech is part of a broader strategy by AAP to expand its footprint in Haryana, leveraging the dissatisfaction with traditional parties and showcasing AAP’s achievements in governance in Delhi and Punjab. The party aims to capitalize on its reputation for delivering on promises of improved public services and transparent governance.
As Haryana gears up for the assembly elections, AAP’s message of change and clean governance is set to resonate with a populace weary of the status quo, potentially reshaping the political landscape of the state.
