Punjab News: Punjab Police Enhances Public Access to Senior Officials for Grievance Redressal

Punjab News: The Punjab Police has issued directives to ensure senior police officials are available to address public grievances. All Range Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGPs), Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs), Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIGs), Commissioners of Police, district Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), Sub-divisional Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), and Station House Officers (SHOs) will be available in their offices from 11 AM to 1 PM on all working days.

The initiative underscores the Punjab Police’s commitment to prioritizing accessibility and responsiveness to the public. Ensuring that citizens can easily reach out to senior officials for redressal of grievances is deemed the foremost duty of the police.

At the Police Headquarters in Chandigarh, senior officers of the rank of Special DGP and Additional DGP have been assigned specific days to meet with citizens and address their concerns directly.

The move aligns with the principles of People-Centric Policing, emphasizing the importance of maintaining robust law and order while ensuring the police force is approachable and responsive to the needs of the community. The Punjab Police has reaffirmed its dedication to continually striving for enhanced public service and maintaining peace in the state.
