Punjab News: In a significant operation, Punjab Police dismantled a major cross-border drug smuggling network, recovering 105 kg of heroin, 31.93 kg of caffeine anhydrous, and 17 kg of DMR. The operation, led by intelligence, also resulted in the seizure of five foreign-made pistols and a locally made firearm. The two suspects arrested, Navjot Singh and Lovepreet Kumar, are associates of foreign-based drug smuggler Navpreet Singh, also known as Nav Bhullar.

Investigations revealed that the drugs were smuggled from Pakistan using a water route, with large rubber tire tubes found at the scene, suggesting narcotics were transported via waterways. An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Amritsar, with ongoing investigations aiming to uncover additional links and apprehend others involved in the drug cartel.
