Punjab recorded a remarkable 42% increase in stamp and registration revenue in June 2024, amassing ₹452.96 crore, up from ₹319.33 crore in June 2023. This significant rise is attributed to the transparent, hassle-free, and corruption-free services ensured by the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Continuous Growth in Revenue
In May 2024, the revenue reached ₹526.36 crore, marking a 22% increase from May 2023’s ₹430.63 crore. Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa highlighted that the continuous increase in the state’s income is a direct result of the government’s commitment to eradicating corruption and driving positive change.
Focus on Accountability and Transparency
From the very first day in office, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s administration has focused on providing transparent services to the people of Punjab. The recent increase in revenue is seen as a testament to these efforts. “Providing transparent, hassle-free, and corruption-free services to the people of Punjab is the main goal of the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, and due to this, the revenue of the state is continuously increasing,” said Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa.
