Punjab Police Nabs Highway Robbery Kingpin Satpreet Singh After Intense Gunfight Near Lehli

Punjab News: The Punjab Police achieved a major success by arresting Satpreet Singh, also known as Satti, the kingpin of a notorious highway robbery gang. The arrest followed a brief exchange of fire near Village Lehli, as announced by the Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Details of the Arrest

Satpreet Singh and his gang were infamous for targeting vehicles on the Ambala-Dera Bassi Highway. The gang had carried out multiple armed robberies across Punjab and Haryana. Among their crimes were two late-night robberies on November 3 and 10, during which victims were looted at gunpoint for cash, mobile phones, and gold ornaments.

The operation to apprehend Satpreet Singh was executed by the SAS Nagar Police. A .32 caliber pistol and five live cartridges were recovered from him. The authorities have registered two FIRs and are actively working to identify and arrest the remaining members of the gang.
