Punjab to spend over ₹15-cr in Anglo-Sikh war memorials

The Punjab government has prepared a plan for the promotion of tourism in the state and for the comprehensive development of places of historical and heritage importance so that a large number of tourists can be attracted from within and outside the country, said the tourism and cultural affairs department of the Punjab government. He said that the Punjab Government is spending Rs 15.5 crore to upgrade the Anglo Sikh War Memorial and other monuments at Ferozeshah Memorial under Anglo Sikh War Circuit Punjab. This work has been started today.

Punjab’s Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department renovated the Anglo Sikh War Museum

Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that under the Anglo Sikh War Circuit, Punjab’s Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department renovated the Anglo Sikh War Museum at a cost of 9.98 crores, Saragarhi Museum at a cost of 1.70 crores, Mudki Memorial at a cost of 98.95 lakhs, 82.89 22.36 Lakhs. Ferozeshah Memorial at a cost of Rs.67.88 Lakh, Aliwal Memorial (Ludhiana) at a cost of Rs.70.44 Lakh to be upgraded with latest technology.
