Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday said that the state government is fully committed to ensure justice in the Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura incidents. The CM appealed to the people to remove the road blockade at Behbal Kalan so that the commuters do not face any kind of inconvenience. In an appeal, the Chief Minister said that the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in Bargari in 2015 along with the incidents of firing in Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura have hurt the manas (soul) of every human being, especially the Sikh community. He said that justice would prevail in both these incidents and the perpetrators of these heinous crimes would not be spared at any cost.
Mann has appealed to the people not to block the road
The government is already leaving no stone unturned for this noble cause and those involved in these crimes will soon be behind bars. The Chief Minister said that the common people are facing a lot of trouble due to the road blockade in Behbal Kalan. He has appealed to the people not to block the road. Targeting Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress, CM Mann said that both these parties have colluded with each other to save the culprits of these incidents.
The Chief Minister said that unfortunate incidents of sacrilege and firing on innocents took place during the Akali regime, while the Congress actively shielded the perpetrators of these crimes during its tenure.
Mann said that with the AAP government coming to power, the SAD-Congress nexus, which has been protecting the accused, has been broken, which is already trying to nab the criminals. CM Mann said that his government is determined to bring the culprits to justice and ensure justice in both these cases for not hurting the sentiments of the people.
