Right to health act: Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, declared today that the Right to Health bill protesting doctors and the government have come to an agreement. The right to health act will now be implemented in Rajasthan as the first state, Mr. Gehlot announced on Twitter.
Rajasthan has become the first state in the nation to adopt Right to Health
“I am pleased that the government and the doctors have finally reached a consensus on the Right to Health, and Rajasthan has become the first state in the nation to adopt Right to Health,” he said. He continued, “I hope that the doctor-patient relationship will continue to be the same in the future.”

Approved by the state parliament
Private physicians in Rajasthan had called for the repeal of the Bill that was approved by the state parliament on March 28. Every state resident will be entitled to emergency care and treatment “without prepayment” at any “public health institution, health care establishment, and authorised health care centres,” according to the proposed legislation.
