Rajasthan News: As per the proposal by Rajasthan government, women/ girls will be charged only 50% of the fare in all buses operated by Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation(RSRTC). Chief Minsiter Ashok Gehlot on Thursday approved the move granting concession to women from every background for all routes within the state limits. At present 50 % concession on fare is provided to women in ordinary buses. The proposal will extend this to buses of all category operated by RSRTC.
Fare concession for women in state
In 2023-24 budget, Gehlot had increased the earlier concession from mere 30% to 50% with the proposal being implemented on from April 1, 2023. On May 25, during the inauguration ceremony of the new bus terminal at Sindhi Camp in Jaipur, CM Gehlot announced the move of extending concession to all buses operated under RSRTC.

Honorarium of ASHA workers increased by 15%
The government of Rajasthan has also decided to increase honorarium of Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) by 15%. The move will increase honorarium of 55,816 ASHA assailants from 3,564 rupees to 4,098 rupees per month. The announcement for the move was made during the budget presentation which will incur financial burden of 35.76 crore rupees annually on the state government.
