It is possible for students to become sick in such a setting. Children are suffering greatly on the hot afternoon walk from school to home. Under such circumstances, there has been an increase in demand for school schedule changes.
Addressing Concerns
Education Minister Madan Dilawar Tweeted, “Another sensitive decision of a sensitive government. Our government, dedicated to good governance, will make changes in the school timings of the students in view of the scorching heat in the state. Keeping the interests of the students paramount, our government is committed to taking favorable decisions for them.”

Prioritizing Student Safety
According to District Convenor Kailash Sharma and District President Prahlad Fatkya of the RPSC Teachers Forum, the current school day runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A heat wave begins at ten o’clock, so keeping students in class until one o’clock in the afternoon increases the likelihood that they will become sick.
According to Abhay Saxena, the district spokesperson for Forum, a memo has been sent to the Education Minister requesting an extension of the school day from 7.30 am to 11 am in order to protect students from the intense heat and heat wave.
