In Rajasthan‘s Barmer, a Dalit student was assaulted by his teacher for drinking water from a pot. The boy’s father has registered a complaint with police and investigation is underway. The complaint has been filed under Chauhtan police station area of Barmer district. The incident happened in Netrad village’s government school where a 12th standard Dalit student was seen drinking from a water pot within the vicinities of school. The teacher Dungra Ram saw this and proceeded to inhumanely beat him throwing punches and kicks.
Complaint filed against teacher
The boy’s father registered a compliant against Dungra Ram for beating his son. The boy has accused teacher for deliberately kicking his son in the groin as well. It was his son’s friends who had safely drop his son to his home. One day after the incident the boy explained the whole situation to his father and brother.
The victim’s brother has made the accusation that intimate parts of his brother were hurt badly during teacher’s beating. He has also claimed that the teacher even employed use of cast-indicative abusive language against his brother.
‘Not guilty’
The accused teacher Dungra Ram has stated that no suck incident took place. He told that on July 3 he did ask the student to stand properly in line during the morning assembly and said nothing except that. He has also claimed that he neither beat any his student or neither hurled caste-indicative abuses at anyone. The teacher maintains that he is being framed for any political or some other matter in the case. No action has been taken by the police against Dungra Ram.
In August 2022, a teacher in Jalore, Rajasthan Chail Singh thrashed a Dalit student for toching water pitcher. The boy later scrummed to his injuries in the hospital.
