Bhiwani Murders: The Rajasthan Police has denied allegations of assaulting the pregnant wife of one of the accused, days after the burnt remains of Nasir and Junaid alias Juna were found in a four-wheeler. The engine registration number of the car was traced to a missing persons’ FIR registered in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, leading to coordination between the police of Rajasthan and Haryana.
Accused claimed that his pregnant wife was assaulted
Initially, five people were named in the case, with Monu Manesar identified as the prime accused. Shrikant, one of the accused from Haryana’s Nuh district, had claimed that his pregnant wife was assaulted by the Rajasthan Police during a search operation, which the Rajasthan Police have denied.
According to Bharatpur Superintendent of Police Shyam Singh, the Bharatpur Police had conducted a search operation in Haryana to locate the accused, Shrikant, and were accompanied by the Haryana Police. He stated, “We did not even know the addresses of the accused. As far as entering the house of the accused is concerned, the Bharatpur Police did not even enter the house of the accused.”
He also said, “During the raid, the accused was not found at home, but two of his brothers were found, who were later quizzed. As far as the allegation of assaulting his wife is concerned, it is a false one.”
Latest development in the investigation
A Rajasthan court remanded Rinku Saini, a resident of Firozpur Jhirka in Haryana’s Nuh district, to police custody for five days for his alleged participation in the murder of two men.
Meanwhile, authorities in Haryana took action to cancel the arms license of Monu Manesar, a member of the Bajrang Dal who is among the four individuals evading arrest in the case. Saini, who works as a taxi driver and was involved with a cow vigilante group, was apprehended by Rajasthan police based on interrogation and technical analysis on Friday night.
The family members of Nasir and Junaid alias Juna, who were found dead in a burnt four-wheeler, met Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The deceased were residents of Ghatmeeka village in Bharatpur district, Rajasthan. The Chief Minister assured the family members that all the accused would be arrested soon.
