Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Wednesday that 1.96 crore guarantee cards have been distributed for 10 major schemes of the state government in about 3,000 dearness relief camps running in Rajasthan.
Gehlot said this in a public meeting after visiting the ‘Inflation Relief Camp’ and ‘Administration with Villages’ campaign at Kotra in Udaipur. He said that 3000 dearness relief camps are being organized in the state, in which 1.96 crore guarantee cards have been distributed.
It is noteworthy that the state government has started setting up these camps from 24 April. In this, after registering the beneficiaries for ten major welfare schemes of the state government, they are given a guarantee card for each scheme. After registration in the camps, eligible persons will be given benefits from the date of commencement of the scheme.
Gehlot said, “Our focus is on dearness relief camps so that (needy) families can save some money by taking advantage of government schemes.” He said, “The ten guarantees you have been given are of great importance. It is a time of inflation, there is severe unemployment, at such a time the government has taken decisions to provide relief to the general public from inflation, so that some savings can be made at home. This savings will be useful for the children and the family. That’s why we have given ten guarantees to you.”
Gehlot said that this is a unique initiative of its kind started by the Rajasthan government to give relief from inflation. He said that the government wants all-round development of Rajasthan. He said, “We have given about 1.25 lakh jobs and 1.25 lakh jobs are under process. Soon there will be recruitment of 50 thousand teachers in a month.”
The Chief Minister said that if the education and health sectors of a state are in good condition, it leads to the overall development of the state and hence his government is paying more attention to these two sectors. Gehlot also visited the camp organized at Jhadol and addressed the people. Many leaders were present with him.
