A case similar to the Shraddha murder of Delhi has also come to the fore in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The accused killed an elderly woman (aunt) and cut the dead body into eight pieces. After this, the accused stuffed the pieces of the dead body in a suitcase and threw it in the forest. In the CCTV video obtained by the police probing the case, accused Anuj Sharma is seen pushing a heavy suitcase.
Blood stains are also visible in the bathroom. The police have arrested the accused in this sensational case. According to police sources, so far eight bodies of the deceased Saroj Sharma (60) have been recovered and the accused has been sent on police remand till December 20 (three days).
Giving more details of the case, DCP Parish Deshmukh said, “On December 11, accused Anuj Sharma lodged a missing report about his aunt at Vidyadhar Nagar police station. Later, during police interrogation, some blood stains were found in the house and during interrogation, the accused told that this happened due to bleeding from the nose due to cold.”
Aunt killed by hammering on her head
Police said, “Initially we were treating it as a missing person’s report. Till then we had not received the CCTV video in which the accused was seen pulling a heavy suitcase on the afternoon of December 11.” According to Vidyanagar police, the accused has been identified as Anuj Sharma alias Achintya Govind DasWho had allegedly killed his aunt by hitting her on the head with a hammer because her behavior towards him was not right.
Body parts thrown in forest area near Delhi-Jaipur highway
Police said, “The accused is a B.Tech graduate and has also worked in a private firm. But, for the last eight years he is not working and is also a devotee of a religious group.” According to the police, the accused has been arrested for allegedly killing his aunt. He took the body pieces to Delhi. Have set up hideouts in forest areas near Jaipur highway. The police also told that the accused Anuj was financially dependent on Saroj Sharma.
During interrogation, Anuj revealed that his aunt used to dominate him since childhood, which he did not like at all. On December 11, the accused asked her permission to go to Delhi in a program, to which she (aunt) refused. Anuj could not control himself and in a fit of rage hit her on the head with a hammer, which resulted in her death. Deshmukh further told that Anuj later cut the body into pieces with a marble cutter, which he had bought from the local market. After this, the body parts were stuffed in suitcases and buckets and thrown in the forest area located on the highway.
