Weather Alerts and Warnings
The Regional Meteorological Centre in Jaipur has issued a yellow alert for Ajmer, effective until September 10. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for moderate to heavy rainfall in several districts, including Dausa, Tonk, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur, Udaipur, and Pratapgarh. Meanwhile, the forecast for western Rajasthan remains normal, with no significant warnings at this time.

This heavy rainfall comes just a day after similar weather conditions in Jaipur on September 7. Heavy rains caused widespread waterlogging in several parts of the pink city, leading to traffic jams and disruptions. Areas such as Nirman Nagar and Mansarovar were particularly affected, with knee-deep water flooding the streets. Civil Lines and other major roads also experienced severe waterlogging, impacting daily life and business in the area.

The flooding has severely impacted local markets, shops, and residential areas, particularly in slum regions. Visuals from Anasagar Chaupati and Hathi Bhata in Ajmer showed streets heavily flooded, causing further disruption. With heavy rains continuing to lash various regions across India, several areas are facing flooding, impacting transportation and local communities.
