Deepak alias Dilip Meena, son of Congress MLA Joharilal Meena (Congress MLA Joharilal Meena) from Alwar’s Rajgarh, was arrested by the Dausa police on Monday in a gang rape case. Later the accused Dilip was presented in the POCSO court. The court has ordered to send him to jail. To avoid arrest, the accused had previously filed anticipatory bail petitions in the local court as well as in the Rajasthan High Court, but they have been rejected. After that the accused has also filed SLP in the Supreme Court. Police has already arrested two accused in this gangrape case.
According to Mahua Deputy Superintendent of Police Brajesh Kumar, a student studying in class 10 had filed a case in this regard in March 2022 at Mandawar police station in Dausa. In his report, he told that Vivek Sharma, Deepak Meena and Naresh Samleti raped him at Samleti Hotel in Mandawar police station area.
The police had presented the charge sheet not considering Deepak as an accused
After investigating the whole matter, the police had already arrested the accused Vivek Sharma and Netram Samleti. On the other hand, considering MLA’s son Deepak alias Dilip Meena as an accused, the charge sheet was presented in the court. After this, in Dausa’s POCSO court, the counsel for the complainant presented an application for issuance of arrest warrant against accused Deepak Meena under section 190 of CrPC. After that the court issued arrest warrants against MLA’s son Deepak Meena.

On the other hand, considering MLA’s son Deepak alias Dilip Meena as an accused, the charge sheet was presented in the court. After this, in Dausa’s POCSO court, the counsel for the complainant presented an application for issuance of arrest warrant against accused Deepak Meena under section 190 of CrPC. After that the court issued arrest warrants against MLA’s son Deepak Meena.
After this, Deepak Meena, son of MLA Joharilal Meena, filed an anticipatory bail petition in the court, but it was rejected. After that, Deepak also applied for anticipatory bail in the Rajasthan High Court, but that too was rejected. The High Court also dismissed the monitoring petition. SLP was filed in the Supreme Court after the advance petitions for the arrest of the MLA’s son were rejected.
While the victim’s lawyer also approached the Rajasthan High Court, the Rajasthan High Court directed that the Dausa police should arrest the accused Deepak Meena by January 23. Otherwise, Dausa Superintendent of Police should personally appear in the High Court. After this the Dausa police became active. On Monday, the police was putting a blockade in Dausa’s Mahua. Meanwhile, the police saw the MLA’s son leaving. On this the police arrested him. Later presented in the court. Poxo court judge Anu Aggarwal has given instructions to send the MLA’s son to jail.
