Himachal Pradesh Elections 2022: The Congress party, which has already taken a significant lead over the incumbent BJP in Himachal Pradesh, has decided to move all of its newly elected party legislators to Jaipur out of concern about BJP “poaching” activities. Congress sources claim that the main opposition party has already sent Rajiv Shukla and other important figures to ensure the security of the newly elected legislators from the party. After the first rounds of counting in the hill state, initial trends indicate that the Congress party is ahead on 38 seats. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, general secretary of the Congress, has also arrived at her farm house outside of Shimla, where she will meet with state party leaders to examine the political climate.
Around 11.45 a.m., it had reached the halfway point and was ahead by 38 seats. In 27 seats, the BJP was in the lead; in contrast, the Independents were ahead in three.
Hoshiyar Singh from Dehra, Hiteshwar Singh from Banjar in Kullu, and Ashish from Hamirpur Sadar, formerly the bastion of twice-elected chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, are independents and all BJP rebels.

Early trends in the ballot count showed the Congress leading in the 68-member Assembly because Himachal Pradesh has not elected an incumbent administration to office in nearly 40 years.
Jai Ram Thakur, the 57-year-old chief minister, triumphed in the Mandi district’s Seraj, his stronghold. Mukesh Agnihotri, 60, and Sukhvinder Sukhu, 58, are two well-known Congress leaders who are in charge from the Haroli and Nadaun seats, respectively. The majority of exit polls indicated a close race between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.
Aam Aadmi Party’s debut performance
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is contesting the Assembly elections for the first time, has been absent from the state while its leaders concentrate on growing its support base in Gujarat.
Rebels who had severed links with the mainstream parties have been holding “in-door” parleys with the idea that there is no permanent enemy or friend in politics after sensing a neck-and-neck race between the BJP and the Congress.
In order to maintain its numbers in “order” in the event of a hung House, both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the main Opposition Congress have started an exercise. According to insiders, the leaders of both parties were attempting to resolve their issues with the party rebels, who number close to 20, in order to boost the party’s chances. There was a great deal of concern about legislators leaving Congress.
