Cyclone Biparjoy: Depression to move east-northeast of Rajasthan today

Rajasthan News: As per report by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone Biparjoy after forming a depression over Eastern Rajasthan is likely to move eastern-northeastern parts of the state. The storm is poised to maintain intensity of depression as it moves towards east in the coming hours.

Rain havoc in State

On Sunday, heavy rainfall in parts of Barmer caused waterlogging and flood like-situation under the influence of Cyclone Biparjoy. The district had been put under ‘Red Alert’ along with some other parts of the state. According to maintain parts of South Rajasthan and North Gujrat will continue to experience heavy rainfall.

Flooding in Jodhpur Hospital

The IMD had issued ‘Orange Alert’ for Jodhpur for the incoming depression of Cyclone Biparjoy. Many parts of the district received heavy rainfall and Ajmer’s Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital got flooded. Dr Tarun in a satement to ANI said “The condition in Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital is bad as the hospital was flooded due to heavy rainfall. The whole ground floor is filled with water. The working of the hospital is affected.”
