In Jodhpur, the home district of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan, the matter has caught fire regarding the brutal murder of lawyer Jugraj Chauhan in broad daylight. After the murder of the lawyer, there is anger among the lawyers across the state regarding the continuous demand for compensation of the family members. On the other hand, on Thursday, lawyers in many districts of the state boycotted work and took out rallies in the city. During this, the lawyers in one voice demanded the implementation of the Advocate Protection Act in Rajasthan.
On the other hand, Osian MLA Divya Maderna has justified their demand by supporting the lawyers’ agitation which has been going on for the last 6 days in Jodhpur. At the same time, MLA Maderna has once again raised the demand to suspend the DCP. Divya has said that if the government does not fix the responsibility for this negligence, then we will lose faith in the public.
Last week also, MLA Maderna had adopted a strict attitude regarding law and order in front of CM Gehlot in a meeting held in Jodhpur. Divya had instructed the CM to take strict steps regarding law and order.
It may be known that on February 18, 55-year-old lawyer Jugraj Chauhan was brutally attacked with knife and stone in Jodhpur, after which there is a lot of resentment among the lawyers across the state. At the same time, in this case, the police have so far arrested 3 accused.
Congress MLA reminded the manifesto
While attacking the government once again on Friday, Divya tweeted that the public manifesto of the Congress in the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections was given the status of a government document in the first cabinet meeting, in which it is written that the Advocates Protection Act will be passed. The MLA said that I demand the Gehlot government to bring a bill for lawyers in this session on the promise of our manifesto.
