Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who was uncomfortable with being called a ‘friend’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has once again targeted him. CM Ashok Gehlot objected to calling PM Narendra Modi a friend on Sunday (April 16) and termed it as trickery. CM Gehlot said that I have been in politics for a long time and understand the trickery used in PM Modi’s speeches.
Recently, in a program to flag off the Vande Bharat Express, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was able to taunt CM Ashok Gehlot. PM Narendra Modi said that I express my gratitude to you for the trust you (Gehlot) have as a friend. These days he is going through political turmoil and many crises. Despite this, he took out time for development work, I welcome him. Since this speech of PM Modi, CM Ashok Gehlot has been continuously making political attacks on him.
The ruling party Congress is once again claiming victory for the Rajasthan assembly elections to be held at the end of the year. However, due to the rift between former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the road is not looking easy for the Rajasthan Congress. In the midst of all this, in a program to flag off the Vande Bharat Express, PM Narendra Modi had also put his hand on this sore spot of the Rajasthan Congress. PM Modi had raised the infighting between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot in front of everyone without naming them.
