Jaipur: In response to the current heat wave situation, Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur, Director of the Medical and Health Department, Rajasthan, has assured that the state is well-prepared to handle the rising temperatures.
Dr. Mathur stated, “The Government of India had informed us that this time there will be a rise in temperature. We have been training medical officers since December itself, and after receiving the alert from the Government of India, we held a high-level meeting through video conferencing and developed an action plan.”

As part of the preparedness measures, approximately 750 medical officers have been trained, and mock drills have been conducted to ensure readiness. “Our department is fully prepared to tackle the challenges posed by the heat wave,” added Dr. Mathur.
These proactive steps aim to mitigate the health risks associated with extreme heat and ensure that the medical infrastructure is equipped to provide necessary care and support to the affected population.
