Jaipur News: Residents of Malpura, Phulera, Sambhar, Kishangarh Renwal, and Jobner will face a disruption in their drinking water supply for the next two days due to repair works being carried out in the transmission pipeline of the Bisalpur-Dudu Drinking Water Project. During this period, water will be supplied via tankers to the affected areas. Moreover, people living in rural Jaipur will also not receive water from Bisalpur for the next two days. In light of the impending water crisis, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has appealed to the public to conserve water.
A 48-hour shutdown has been announced to facilitate these repairs
The maintenance is necessary for the transmission main first of the Bisalpur-Dudu drinking water project, which supplies water to 539 villages and 5 towns through a 117.50 km long transmission main pipeline connected to the Mor, Malpura, Pachewar, Dudu, Narena, and Sambhar pump houses. A 48-hour shutdown has been announced to facilitate these repairs.
The authorities are making efforts to minimize inconvenience by providing alternative water supply
The shutdown, affecting the water supply to 134 villages and the town of Malpura, commenced on March 19 at 11:30 PM and will continue until March 21 at 11:30 PM. Similarly, water supply to 150 villages benefiting from the Pachewar and Dudu pump houses will be disrupted until March 22 at 11:30 AM.
