Krishna Janmashtami 2024: Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Announces Construction of ‘Krishna Gamana Path’ on Krishna Janmashtami

This religious circuit will connect important sites related to Lord Krishna's life, from his birthplace to the places where he received his education.

Krishna Janmashtami 2024: On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma made a significant announcement regarding the construction of the “Krishna Gamana Path.” This religious circuit will connect important sites related to Lord Krishna’s life, from his birthplace to the places where he received his education. The project will be a joint effort between the governments of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

The announcement was made during CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s visit to the Shri Nathji Temple in Poonchri ka Lotha, Deeg district, where he offered prayers on Janmashtami. He emphasized that ancient sites and temples along the route, which hold significant religious and historical value, will also be developed as part of this initiative.

Developing a Sacred Route

The “Krishna Gamana Path” will trace the journey of Lord Krishna from his birthplace through Bharatpur, Kota, and Jhalawar in Rajasthan, eventually leading to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, where he studied under Guru Sandipani. The project aims to enhance and develop the temples and sacred locations along this route, making them more accessible and spiritually enriching for devotees.

Ceremonial Visit and Future Plans

Before making this announcement, CM Bhajanlal Sharma, along with his family, visited the Mukut Mukharvind Temple in Govardhan for darshan and puja. Following this, he offered prayers at the Shri Nathji Temple in Poonchri ka Lotha. Accompanying him were Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, Deeg-Kumher MLA Dr. Shailesh Singh, and other government officials.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma is also scheduled to visit Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh to seek blessings at the Mahakal Temple and later visit the Sandipani Ashram, where Lord Krishna received his education.
