Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot lashed out at the central government on Monday. CM Gehlot said that issues like inflation, unemployment, tension and atmosphere of violence are such that have shaken the whole country. He said that there are many such incidents where journalists, writers, litterateurs are locked in jails, the general public will have to think about what is happening inside the country.
In fact, CM Ashok Gehlot was on a visit to Sikar on Monday, where during the press conference he said, “there is severe inflation in the country, there is unemployment, there is an atmosphere of tension and violence, there is terror of Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax Department and CBI, Judiciary and the Election Commission is under pressure and the gap between the rich and the poor is increasing. There are five-seven issues which have shaken the whole country.”
‘Politics being done in the name of religion’
The CM further said, “Government of India is not paying attention to it. All the five issues are of great importance. It was their duty to pay attention to them when the opposition does any act, be it protest, protest, travel. They are not concerned about what is happening in the country, they are doing politics in the name of religion.”
‘Many Manish Sisodias have been arrested’
While answering the question asked on the arrest of Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Gehlot said that many Manish Sisodias have been arrested in the country, you and we do not know, he is the Deputy Chief Minister, that’s why we are getting to know.
‘Journalist, writer jailed’
He further said, “There are so many incidents where journalists, writers, litterateurs are locked in jails, what is happening inside the country, the general public will have to think. If you follow PM Modi and religion, then the country will be at a loss. And sooner or later they will have their own.” Referring to his government’s Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme and other initiatives, CM Gehlot said that they are being discussed across the country and Rajasthan has set an example across the country.
