On Monday, PM Modi mocked Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on the infighting within the state’s Congress. He also criticised the state government for a number of things, such as the paper leak mafia and crimes against women.

“The Congress successfully formed a government by deceiving the people of Rajasthan. However, they failed to run the government. Ashok Gehlot had been saving his CM chair, whereas half of the Congress leaders were actively trying to unseat him,” he said in Chittorgarh in poll-bound Rajasthan at a public rally.

PM Modi expressed grif over rising incidence of crimes against women

In the last five years, he charged, the Congress government had been “looting” and “destroying” the state. According to him, “the Congress had made this a tradition” and he expressed his grief at the rising incidence of crimes against women in Rajasthan.

“The Congress government in Rajasthan has destroyed the state in the past five years. It pains me that the state tops in the crime list. Maximum number of cases of crime against women are from Rajasthan… Is this why you voted for Congress?” the PM Modi said.

He continued to criticise Gehlot, claiming that the latter had conceded defeat and asked the BJP not to thwart his plans if the party were to win the Rajasthan election.

Countdown of Congress:

“Ashok Gehlot is aware that the countdown for Congress’s farewell has begun. He is requesting that after BJP forms its government in Rajasthan, his schemes should not be discontinued,” he said.

“I want to thank Gehlot Ji for publically accepting that the BJP will come to power in Rajasthan. I assure you that no public scheme will be stopped. It will be further improved and this is Modi Ji’s guarantee,” he added.

He claimed that if the BJP will serve to office, it will punish the state’s paper leak mafia harshly.

“I want to guarantee the youth of Rajasthan that we will get to the bottom of the paper leak matter. We will hold them accountable and action will be taken against those who have committed corruption and looted money of the poor,” he said.
