President Daupadi Murmu encouraged the youth by inaugurating the 18th National Scout Guide Jamboree in Rajasthan on Wednesday. Many ministers and distinguished guests including Governor Kalraj Mishra, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Bharat Scout Guide President Anil Jain participated in the grand program organized at Rohat in Pali district. About 37,000 Scouts and Guides from different states of India including Bangladesh, Kenya, Malaysia and other countries are participating in this jamboree organized on the theme ‘Progress with Peace’.
President Draupadi Murmu said in her address that whatever work Scouts and Guides do, they do it from the heart. Bharat Scout Guide works for the whole world with body, mind and money. This organization works for character building of boys and girls. Learn the spirit of humanity and love from them and adopt them in life. Glad that this jamboree is happening on such a land, which is the land of valor and bravery.
The Scout-Guide has pledged to keep physically strong, mentally awake and morally right, not for personal gain, but for the collective welfare of the society. Those who promise, try to fulfill it with the qualities of trust, brotherhood, humility, love of nature, discipline, courage and frugality. Martin Luther King Jr. fought bravely against racism, he was a scout.
Bill Gates, who revolutionized technology, also worked as a scout. Youth are the future builders of India. One has to struggle for the betterment and future of the society. If we move forward with the thought that we will be successful, success will surely follow.
Message of sacrifice and penance
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that he too was a scout in his childhood. It is a matter of pride to be a Scout-Guide. This is where we learn social values. Whatever we learn in childhood, it will be helpful in the progress of life and life will be successful. This country is a country of unity in diversity. There are many languages, dresses and cultures here. In an event like Jamboree, there is an opportunity to see and learn from each other’s culture.
CM said that I am proud that there are about 12 lakh scouts and guides in 37 thousand schools and colleges of Rajasthan. They were involved in Corona period, disaster management, de-addiction and many other social service works. It is expected that the message of sacrifice and penance will be taken from the land of Rajasthan toMessage of sacrifice and penance the whole country.

Governor Kalraj Mishra said that Rajasthan is a rich and cultural state. It is a moment of pride that the 18th Jamboree is happening in Rajasthan. A lot has changed since the Jamboree was organized 67 years ago. Greetings to all from the land of Dhors. Jamboree means to discuss and learn together. It is a gathering to learn civilization and culture. Scout-Guide is such an organization in the world whose age is maximum. This organization is working dedicatedly for the society.
The Governor said that if children are given good values from childhood, then their life and future will be better. I have been close to this organization and I have experienced that this organization works considering the service of mankind as its aim. This organization creates a sense of service among the youth. Gives courage to face disaster. Sacrifice and service are virtues of Scouts. Try to make India Vishwaguru again with these qualities.
