Rajasthan Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas responded to the demonstrations by saying, “Because Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena is a prominent leader and there is no BJP vs. Cong issue here, we respect him. The government of Rajasthan is with the victims’ families. The BJP is politicising the situation; they may have been given directives from higher up.”
Widows of Pulwama attack victims express extreme despair
In response to the protest by the widows of the jawans who lost their life in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, the Rajasthan BJP members staged a sizable demonstration in Jaipur. This follows the Rajasthan police’s removal on Friday of the widows of the three CRPF jawans killed in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack from the demonstration location outside the home of Congress leader Sachin Pilot and transfer of them to hospitals close to their respective residential regions. The widows had previously asked the governor of Rajasthan, Kalraj Mishra, for permission to commit suicide.
