Railway Updates: The weekly train service between Udaipur City and Mysore will resume, according to North Western Railways. So, it would now be considerably simpler for passengers to go to the key cities in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
According to Captain Shashi Kiran, spokesman for North Western Railways, Train No. 19667, the weekly Udaipur City – Mysuru Humsafar service, will depart Udaipur City every Monday at 9:15 PM beginning on July 11 and arrive in Mysuru at 4:25 PM on Wednesday.
Similar to this, starting on Thursday, July 14, Train No. 19668 will run weekly between Mysuru and Udaipur City, departing Mysuru at 10:00 AM and arriving at 03:35 PM on Saturdays.
The stations along the route where this train would stop include Chittorgarh, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vasai Road, Pune, Miraj Jn., Belagavi, Hubli, Davangere, Bangalore, and Mandya.
According to latest Railway Updates, Indian Railways is participating in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav as well. The Ministry of Railways recently tweeted about the Pratham Swatantrata Sangram Express, a train honouring the 1857 liberation movement.
This unique train runs between Virangana Lakshmibai Railway Station and Kolkata Railway Station, initially departing on November 30, 2007.
The Pratham Swatantrata Sangram Express, train number 22198, departed Jhansi on Friday and arrived in Kolkata on Saturday. The 22197 Pratham Swatantrata Sangram Express departs Kolkata on Sunday and reaches Jhansi on Monday.
According to Shivam Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, numerous trains would run during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in remembrance of the Indian Independence movement.
