In view of the increasing cases of corona virus infection worldwide, the BJP has postponed the “Jan Aakrosh Yatra” against the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan. This information has been given by BJP’s national general secretary and in-charge of Rajasthan, Arun Singh.
In view of the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections, BJP President JP Nadda started the Jan Aakrosh Yatra on December 1.
According to the program, this journey was to cover a distance of 75,000 kilometers. The party had decided that two crore people would be contacted during the yatra and BJP’s policies would be conveyed to them.
BJP targets Bharat Jodo Yatra
Singh said, “In view of the increasing cases of Covid-19, BJP has postponed the Jan Aakrosh Yatra in Rajasthan. For BJP, the people of the country are before politics. People’s safety and their health is a priority for us.” Describing the Congress’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra” as morning and evening walks, the BJP general secretary alleged that it was playing with people’s lives for political gains.
‘Rahul Gandhi’s visit flop show’
He said, “Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is a flop show. It is nothing but morning and evening walk. Congress should not play with the health of the people of the country for its dirty politics. It is to be known that Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had held a review meeting on Wednesday itself in view of the latest cases of rapidly growing Covid-19 across the world. After this, he advised people to follow the rules of prevention of corona virus infection, wear masks in crowded places and continue vaccination.
Appeal to postpone bharat jodo yatra
He had also written a letter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asking him to postpone the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Countering this, Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda had said, “We are wondering why a similar letter was not sent to Rajasthan BJP President Satish Poonia, who is on a Janakrosh Yatra there. We understand that there is not much enthusiasm for that Janakrosh Yatra, people are not coming in it.
Mandaviya said in the Parliament on Thursday that the corona epidemic is not over yet, Covid is changing its form from time to time, in such a situation everyone should be cautious while taking the vaccine and follow the safety measures. He said that in view of the coming festival and new year, the states have been advised to be vigilant and make people aware of protocols like wearing masks, washing hands, cleanliness and maintaining social distance.
