The anticipated expansion of the Rajasthan Cabinet is further delayed as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a significant program scheduled for Wednesday. PM Modi is set to interact with the beneficiaries of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra through video conferencing at 12:30 pm. Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local-level representatives will also participate in the event.
Ashok Gehlot Expresses Concerns
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot criticized the BJP government for the delay in forming the cabinet, expressing concerns that disappointment is spreading among the people, and governance has come to a standstill. Gehlot emphasized the need for a swift cabinet formation to ensure the smooth functioning of the government.
In response to the criticism, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reassured that none of the welfare schemes initiated by the previous Congress government would be discontinued. He stated during a Good Governance Day event organized by the BJP that all schemes, including free medicines at government hospitals, would continue, addressing concerns raised by the Congress.
