The video capturing the “Modi, Modi” chants during Gehlot’s visit quickly went viral. However, another video revealed that Gehlot stepped out of his car and maintained a composed demeanor, acknowledging the slogans with folded hands without showing any signs of displeasure.

On the day of the incident, Chief Minister Gehlot was in Bhilwara district, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several development projects in the presence of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. Following the event, Kharge departed for Delhi, while Gehlot stayed in Bhilwara.

During his visit, Gehlot engaged with entrepreneurs from the district regarding Mission 2030 at the Maharana Pratap Auditorium. Upon concluding the discussions, Gehlot’s convoy was en route to the Circuit House for an overnight stay when a group of youth gathered near Saraswati Circle. Their chants of “Modi-Modi” led to the temporary halt of the Chief Minister’s convoy. Gehlot responded by stepping out of his car, offering a courteous greeting to the chanting crowd, and continuing on his way. As the convoy departed, the youth also chanted “Jai Shri Ram” slogans.

The sudden sloganeering took the local police and administrative officials by surprise, prompting them to form a security cordon around the Chief Minister’s vehicle.
