Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced that he will not be attending the inaugural ceremony for the long-anticipated Chambal Riverfront in Kota, citing “unavoidable reasons.” The inauguration of this six-kilometer-long riverfront was originally scheduled for today.
Despite his absence, Gehlot congratulated the people of Hadoti for the development of the Kota Riverfront through a post on a social media app (possibly X). He referred to the Chambal Riverfront as a historic gift to the people of Hadoti and expressed his belief that it would boost tourism and contribute to the state’s development.
It is anticipated that Rajasthan’s UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal will officiate the inauguration of the riverfront. Other ministers, MLAs, and MPs from the Gehlot government are also expected to participate in the event.
Significance of Chambal Riverfront:
The Chambal Riverfront project spans both riverbanks, covering a distance of 6 kilometers. Designed by architect Anoop Bartaria, it is a multi-crore project featuring over 20 river ghats and a significant statue of Chambal Mata, along with other decorative elements installed along the riverfront.
In his statement, Gehlot expressed his eagerness to attend the inauguration but cited unavoidable reasons for his absence. He extended his congratulations to all residents of Hadoti for this remarkable development.
The inauguration of the Chambal Riverfront in Kota marks a significant development for the region and is expected to have a positive impact on tourism and overall development. While Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will not be in attendance, other dignitaries are set to participate in the event, celebrating this important milestone for the Hadoti region.
