Rajasthan Chief Minister Ayushman Accidental Insurance Scheme: : The Chief Minister Ayushman Accidental Insurance Scheme is a key initiative of the Rajasthan government, launched on May 1, 2022, to provide financial assistance to families affected by accidental deaths or disabilities. The scheme is aimed at supporting families where one or more members have either died or become disabled due to accidents.

Benefits and Eligibility Explained

Administered by the State Insurance and Provident Fund Department, this scheme offers ₹5,00,000 in financial aid to families if a member dies in an accident. In cases where more than one family member dies in an accident, the compensation amount is ₹10,00,000. For partial or complete disability, the financial assistance varies between ₹1,50,000 and ₹3,00,000, depending on the severity of the disability.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ayushman Accidental Insurance Scheme

Only families already registered under the Chief Minister Ayushman Health Insurance Scheme are eligible for this financial support. Claims must be submitted within 60 days of the accident or the death of the individual. However, in extraordinary circumstances, beneficiaries can apply for compensation within 90 days.

Additionally, all employees of the five power companies in Rajasthan are also eligible for coverage under the scheme. In the unfortunate event of death or disability, the legal heir can submit a claim via the online application form.

Previously known as the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Accidental Insurance Scheme, the initiative was renamed to the Chief Minister Ayushman Accidental Insurance Scheme after the BJP took power in Rajasthan in 2024. This renaming reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to providing financial security to families impacted by accidents.
