Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s Delhi visit enters its second day as he stays at Jodhpur House in the capital. On Sunday night, Chief Minister Sharma held a meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, lasting approximately half an hour, discussing various matters.

After assuming responsibilities as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister in Rajasthan, attention has shifted to the formation of the state cabinet. According to sources, discussions are underway regarding potential ministerial candidates, and the announcement of the names may happen in a few days. It is speculated that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma might appoint 20 ministers to his cabinet.
As per constitutional norms, following the elections, a Chief Minister in the state can have a maximum of 30 ministers in the cabinet. With Bhajan Lal Sharma taking the role of Chief Minister, accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Dr. Premchand Bairwa, the formation of the remaining 27 ministers is anticipated in the coming days. Currently, there is a rapid deliberation in Delhi regarding the cabinet expansion, with only 20 ministers expected to be appointed initially.

Discussions around potential ministerial candidates for the Rajasthan cabinet are gaining momentum. Probable names include Kirori Lal Meena, Mahant Pratappuri, Baba Balkanath, Tarachand Jain, and Foolsingh Meena, among others. The Delhi discussions indicate a swift decision-making process for the cabinet expansion in Rajasthan.
