Rajasthan News: A 24-year-old woman in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district was tragically killed by her own family for marrying a man of her choice. The brutal act highlights the ongoing issue of honor killings in the region.
The victim, who had married Ravi Bheel against her family’s wishes, was abducted by her family members in front of her husband. They later killed her and burned her body at a cremation ground. The couple had been staying at different locations to escape their family’s wrath.

Investigations revealed that the woman’s family abducted her after learning that she and her husband would be visiting a bank in a Madhya Pradesh village. Despite their efforts to evade detection, the family managed to locate and capture her.
As the husband approached the police to file a complaint, the woman’s body was already more than 80 percent burned by the time authorities arrived at the scene. Her family members fled the spot immediately after the heinous act.
The woman’s burnt remains have been sent to forensic experts for further investigation. Authorities are now conducting a manhunt to apprehend the family members responsible for this gruesome crime.
This incident underscores the critical need for stronger measures and awareness to combat honor killings and protect individuals’ rights to choose their life partners.
