Rajasthan News: In response to widespread paper leaks and cheating scandals plaguing recruitment examinations in Rajasthan, the state government has launched a comprehensive effort to restore integrity to its hiring processes. Over one lakh employees appointed in the past five years are under scrutiny to identify any who secured government jobs through unfair means.
Clean-Up Underway in Rajasthan Government: Massive Review of Job Appointments Initiated
The initiative, spearheaded by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police, aims to cleanse the system of fraudulent practices that have undermined public trust. Additional Director General V K Singh of SOG highlighted the gravity of the situation, indicating that criminal investigations into these irregularities are ongoing.
In a recent directive, each government department has been mandated to verify the credentials of employees hired over the past five years. This decentralized approach is essential due to the sheer volume of cases involved. Singh emphasized that SOG alone cannot manage the verification process for all employees, necessitating collaboration across government departments.
Sources familiar with the matter revealed suspicions of widespread cheating tactics, including the use of dummy candidates, in nearly all recruitment exams conducted during the specified period. These revelations have intensified efforts to root out corruption and ensure transparency in future hiring practices.
The move underscores the state government’s commitment to restoring public confidence by holding accountable those who obtained positions through fraudulent means. As investigations continue, Rajasthan remains focused on implementing rigorous measures to prevent such breaches in the future.
