Rajasthan News : Farmers to Receive Benefits Under Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme

Rajasthan News: In a significant move to support farmers, the Rajasthan government will disburse over ₹650 crore directly into the bank accounts of 65 lakh beneficiary farmers under the Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. The funds are set to be transferred on June 30, 2024.

Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme

As part of the first installment, each of the 65 lakh farmers will receive a portion of the ₹650 crore allocation. This initiative is aimed at providing financial support and enhancing the income of farmers in Rajasthan.

Increased Annual Benefit Compared to PM Kisan Scheme

The scheme offers an annual benefit of ₹8,000 to each eligible farmer, an increase from the ₹6,000 provided under the central government’s PM Kisan Scheme. This additional support is expected to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by the farming community in the state.

Direct Benefit Transfer to Ensure Transparency

The transfer of funds directly to the farmers’ bank accounts ensures transparency and minimizes the risk of middlemen exploiting the system. This approach is designed to make sure that the intended beneficiaries receive the full amount of aid without any deductions.

Commitment to Agricultural Development

The Rajasthan government’s proactive approach under the leadership of the Chief Minister aims to ensure the welfare and economic stability of farmers, reinforcing the state’s commitment to agricultural development and sustainability. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the agricultural sector, which is the backbone of the state’s economy.

Future Plans for Farmers’ Welfare

In addition to the Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, the Rajasthan government is also planning to introduce more programs aimed at improving agricultural productivity, providing access to better resources, and ensuring fair market prices for farmers. These efforts are expected to create a more supportive environment for the farming community and contribute to the overall economic growth of the state.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of continuous support and development for farmers, acknowledging their vital role in the state’s prosperity. The government remains dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by farmers and ensuring their sustainable growth and well-being.
