Rajasthan News: A four-year-old child is allegedly being raped by a policeman, and this has led to an extensive protest outside the police station in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. The sub-inspector who is being accused of raping the girl was beaten up by the villagers who had gathered in huge numbers outside the police station.

The girl was allegedly enticed into Sub-inspector Bhupendra Singh’s quarters and sexually assaulted by her while he was on election duty. Assistant Superintendent of Police Bajrang Singh said that the culprit has been taken into custody and is the subject of an investigation.

Case registered based on complaint:

“A case has been registered in Rahuwas police station against an SI identified as Bhupendra based on the complaint by a family living nearby. They have accused him of rape. A medical examination is being done of the minor girl. Necessary action will be taken,” Mr Singh said.

As news got out, residents flocked to the Rahuwas police station in huge numbers and began yelling anti-police slogans. Before giving Bhupendra Singh over to the police, they also thrashed him.

50 Lakh compensation:

BJP MP Kirodi Lal Meena said, “There is a huge anger among the people over the incident of rape of a seven-year-old Dalit girl by a policeman in Lalsot. I have reached the spot to get justice for the innocent child.”

A Rs 50 lakh compensation has been announced by the BJP MP for th victim’s family.

“I have come here to help the girl. The sub-inspector has been arrested. For me, elections come afterwards, and my first priority will be giving the family justice. It is a shameful incident,” Mr Meena said.
